The Ross Alumni Club of Chicago is teaming up with the Taproot Foundation on a project for Casa Central.
Taproot Opportunity
Think of it as a non-profit MAP post-school. Join fellow Michigan alums on a project that will leverage the unique skills built at Ross.
Dates: late June - mid November
Location: some in person meetings, kickoff, final presentation and other times determined by team; otherwise, meetings by phone
Price: Free (you're donating your time & expertise)
Project: Our project is with Casa Central and starts end of June through mid-November.

What is Casa Central?
- Founded in 1954, it is now one of the largest Hispanic social service agencies in the country
- Over 450 on staff with a $16 million budget
- Mission: transform lives and strengthen communities with a special focus on Hispanics
- Child/Youth programs reach 500 children pre-elementary, 175 grade school and 100 teens
- Seniors programs reach 150 for wellness activities and 1500 are provided home care services
- Adults/Families reach 70 homeless families, 500 victims of domestic violence and 800 get free computer classes
